Embroidery is a traditional art passed down from one generation to the next in Mexico. I just love looking at all the threads and am delighted to learn a little more about my heritage by learning how to embroider. During my childhood, I saw the women in my family trading intricate napkins and tablecloths stitched with love. The vibrancy of these rich colors bring me so much joy.

My grandpa lives on a luscious green mountain full of pine trees. While exploring his backyard we met these women in the deep forest tending to their borregos. Creating artesanía with my girlfriends on a mountain top are life goals.

Look at this beautiful embroidered tablecloth that was gifted to my mother when she was young. The vibrant colors are comforting while I sit in our little slice of green. Drinking my cafecito and listening to the roosters sing.
