Mexican Traditions: Embroidery
During my childhood, I saw the women in my family trading intricate napkins and tablecloths stitched with love. The vibrancy of these rich colors bring me so much joy.
Mardi Gras Headband
I enjoyed working on the intricate pearlescent beadwork and peacock inspired fascinator from the 1920s for a 30th birthday in New Orleans.
Repurposed Shadowbox
I love recycling and repurposing found objects. This brings a whole new level to my recycled CD cases adventures. I’m just obsessed.
Piñata
I love piñatas as they remind me of my childhood. I make them for the children and the friends around me for their birthdays. The boxes are adorned with their favourite figurines and treats. Piñatas are my little slice of Mexico. They make me happy and I hope to bring smiles to the people around me on their special day.
Recycled Envelopes
DIY Envelopes are fun, cute, stylish, and you can make them with envelopes you’ve even received in the mail. Who knew recycled items could be so much fun? Let’s gather our supplies.
